It was during this time that she rediscovered her entrepreneurial spirit and when the opportunity to manage the floral and gift department arose, she stepped into the position. She loved the work and loved customer care. "I have so much for which to thank the Bennett family. I learned so many of the skills that I needed to open my own shop through the experiences I had there."

Since opening her shop in November of 2004, Gretel has been happily serving the Greater Lafayette area. "It’s funny sometimes, how life unfolds. I had never imagined that I would someday operate a fun little gift shop! But it seems that all of my roads have led me here. I am one of the lucky ones who loves going to 'work' every day."
